Ice Hockey

Bit of a different day today. Took the bus from Karlovy Vary to Plzeň, dropped our bags off at the hotel that is a few miles out of town then went for a first wander round the old town.

On the trolleybus on the way back to the hotel we noticed there was activity at the ice hockey stadium. Michael, the biggest sports fan I know, said that he'd never been to an ice hockey match, so I, having been to lots of Blackburn Hawks matches in my younger days and enjoyed them, said we should get off and go. We missed the first ten minutes or so (and three goals!) but it was great fun including the breaks where we bought beer and souvenirs. HC Plzeň won 5-2.

After that we headed back to the hotel, which has its own bowling alley, and had a couple of games of bowling. Great stuff.
