Same old view, new camera

I took my camera back to the shop today – the viewfinder eyecup keeps falling off (and it's falling apart) and I just know I'm going to lose it if I don't get it fixed (it's under warranty). So I have no idea how long that is going to take, but they let me have a loan camera to use in the mean time. I have never used a Nikon before, but it seems pretty straightforward.
It only has the 18-55mm kit lens and of course my lenses don't fit, so no macros for me until I get mine back!
