Warhol and Carnegie
There is currently an exhibition at the Scottish Parliament displaying some of Andy Warhol's work. As soon as Jen mentioned about it a few months ago now I knew we had to go, you really don't get that kind of opportunity very often!
This dollar sign is one of Warhol's most iconic pieces (no photography allowed in the exhibition so this is actually from outside to show you where to go!). The exhibition was brilliant, I really enjoyed learning about the pieces. Wonderful to see his work.
While at the Parliament we also saw the Andrew Carnegie exhibition. What an amazing man! Why do we not learn about him in our schools? He gave over £350 million to good causes, especially libraries, during his life. He was also instrumental in getting the diplodicus to the Natural History Museum in the London (fun fact!)
We also really enjoyed walking around the Parliament, great architecture!
