Christmas Cake

I've had the afternoon to myself, well with Bella too (M&M's dog) & we have made the Christmas cake, its still in the oven so fingers crossed! Forgot I needed string & brown paper so I have improvised. I couldn't believe at one point that all that mixture would go into the cake tin but it did, might have overdone the alcohol though as my kitchen smells like a distillery! Could have bought 3 Christmas cakes for the price of making this but that's not the point!
Looking forward to all the family coming for a Chinese tonight....might have a cheeky little glass to celebrate making my Christmas cake....any excuse!
