Storm clouds coming...

Tomorrow evening from midnight the weather is going to be horrendous. They are predicting up to force 9 gale force winds and everything moveable in the garden etc. should be secured or put away. Who knows what damage this will do? It's been so mild and bright today. How quickly it changes. Keep safe everybody!!

THIS IS THE WEATHER REPORT......
The storm is now heading for us at around 70mph. Its developed a closed circulation (it basically looks like a hurricane). This is going to be a significant storm. The strongest winds are expected over the islands just after midnight on Monday morning and lasting until about lunchtime, The jet stream is going to push the storm NE from its near E direction just as it reaches us. So we'll be in just the 'right' place for the strongest winds easily going over 85mph for a time with a good chance of higher gusts, more so around the coast. We've also got a high tide to deal with overnight which will be higher then expected due to the low pressure currently expected to be a quite impressive 952mb.
Outlook, the forecast from 6pm tomorrow until 6pm on Monday.
Outbreaks of Rain soon becoming heavy for a time with the risk of hail and thunder clearing by dawn to sharp showers still with the risk of hail and thunder. Wind, West Gale F8 soon increasing Severe gale F9 with gusts to 85mph by midnight veering southwest then south Storm F10 to severe storm F11 with gusts to F12 for a time. Decreasing Gale F8 to Severe Gale F9 and veering West by dawn becoming Southerly F7 to Gale F8 by afternoon with gusts to 60mph.
