Myki's first day out

Note the new red collar which has a magnet on it for the cat flap!

Today Myki was shoved unceremoniously through shown how to use the cat flap a few times before he got the knack of using it. First he ambled about in the garden happily with all three of us hovering about. He came when whistled for/ rustled for (he appears out of nowhere for crinkly sweet wrappers and fetches them if thrown for him).

In and out the flap he went...

After a while we noticed he had been gone a bit longer and it was starting to rain. A quick look round found him in the next door garden; he had forgotten whereabouts he got over the wall! We had to coax him back and he was rather damp and mossy having had to scramble between the fence and wall!
Lots of serious washing ensued!

By the time it got dark he was back sitting next to me on the sofa and we closed the flap till tomorrow...
I took this quickly with my phone as we then heard some fireworks going off which got his attention and, as I feared, by the time I had retrieved camera he was being active again.
