Long Journey Teddy
Teddy spent the whole day driving.
He didn't have anywhere to go. He just wanted to drive, to go somewhere, to see where the road took him. It took him far and wide, though nowhere of any great beauty or interest.
Teddy is steeling himself for tomorrow, and the pile of work he knows he must do in order to be ready for work on Monday. This has been a heavy thought for two weeks. It was a heavy thought for the last many months. He's not felt very creative. And when a Teddy feels uncreative, life is hard.
Some months back, Teddy went for a ball of wool. In a tray. As you do. Only he discovered that someone had cut it so that it either came out in useless strands, of stayed knotted. Although this was, in itself, quite an achievement for some little person, it wasnt an achievement that Teddy appreciated.
But life has been a ball of wool ever since. Some bits came apart that shouldn't, and took silly and needless time to repair, and at other times the correct starting places remain ever elusive. Teddy has been wondering if he's really cut out for knitting.
Tonight it's coffee and a long wait for playmate who's working. A chance for a cookie he thinks. Then tomorrow? Let's wait and see shall we everybody.
Well travelled Teddy.
