Rainy day at the lake

The lake in question is up the hill from our house. Go past our neighbours and into the forest, follow the path up and over the hill and down to the lake. Walking up takes about 35 minutes depending how fast you want to walk and how much you linger to listen, watch, or take photos.  Today it was raining and near to dusk but I needed a good walk.
The photo shows the reflection of the forest on the other side of the lake, and the rain drops hitting the water.
I love this lake because it reflects the mood of the day so well.  When it's sunny and bright it's a lovely place. Frozen and covered in snow it sleeps and waits for spring. And today it was  a dark and slightly dismal place, the image matching the reality of the late afternoon.
