Cloud of confetti

It was good today to be with friends to share their joy when their child marries. And we also realise we are getting older too. Among the joys today were:
the very uplifting church service
the great sense of love as we prayed them on their way
a reminder of the good news of marriage
and a great cream tea followed by a tug of war to decide whether the Devon (cream first) or Cornwall (jam first) way with scones is best - Cornwall won! Us Devonians bravely battled twice as many Cornwall supporters but sadly were out-heaved!!
Afterwards we showered Simon and Claire with clouds of confetti in the traditional manner.
