Why is the man only wearing a sleeveless vest when it wasn't exactly warm or sunny?
Why is he scratching his head in apparent awe at the sight of the AA headquarters building in Basingstoke?

I kept thinking of the opening scene in 2001: A Space Odyssey. Alas there was no inspirational moment.
