SEAFORTH NAVAL GRAVEYARD
Our morning walk includes a stroll through this old graveyard. On the left hand side of the path that we walk on is the modern renovation, stylized and formal, immaculate.
On the right hand side are the old graves, facing out to sea. Some are clustered higgledy-piggledy under ancient trees blown almost horizontal by the wind. Long branches stretch out protectively over the graves of cherished babies and young children, beloved wives and husbands, young sailors far from home.
I chose this image for its feeling of peace.
