a little sketch

Back to yesterday's watercolour course and this was one of the little sketches I did using the four colours dabbed into the journal.
The idea was to get a moody sky and equally moody landscape and we had about 30 minutes to make four little paintings. This is the best of the bunch!

The amethyst in particular is just incredible...literally sparkling and very lively.... and just such a thrill to have a go with these beautiful paints.
