Just watching

I have been reading An Officer and a Spy by Robert Harris. It's a novel based on the Drefus Affair.

The original story is remarkable enough, and in this account the parallels with modern times are very clear - Drefus is condemned on secret evidence, held offshore in solitary confinement, and an illegal cover-up grows out of control.

The hero of this novel is Georges Piquart, an intelligence office who discovered the real spy and who then suffered similar mistreatment to Drefus. Well worth reading!
