A storm's brewing

I went over to Mother Flowerpowers for lunch today and this was the view that greeted me as I drove over the hill towards her house. I had to pull over and get my camera out. It was very dramatic and the sky was so dark.

We had a lovely lunch and then went over to Upton House, where Mother Flowerpower is a guide. She showed me round and talked me through the interesting history of the house. It is a beautiful place and I love the gardens. It is well worth a visit. This is the view from the back garden.

Now I'm settling in for the night. Let's hope the storm doesn't cause too much damage and disruption. Batten down the hatches everyone.
