Big "Fall"

The heavy downpour and gale last night stripped our local group of sycamores of their entire foliage last night in one go.
I do like the American term "fall" name for our "autumn" - so evocative of what happens.
Like the term "apple-blossom time" for spring time also.
It is "batten down the hatches" tonight and tomorrow with a twenty-year storm forecast to hit the southern half of the UK. Let's hope we miss the worst of it.
