today l have pictures of rutting deer, mountains and autumn landscapes - oh yes - and the helicopter - all through a curtain of driving rain. as we walked through fort william l spotted this huge mushroom about 7 or 8 inches across in a lawn. the presumption was that it was ornamental but on the way back l couldn't resist a poke at it - only to realise that it was real - and huge - and very beautiful. it made my day!
