War on Watts!

Last summer I put my name down at work to get a Smart Meter installed. There was some problems with sending data back to base that had to be remedied so it wasn't until a week or so ago that the trial was to be rolled out to the staff that signed up for it last year.

So four guys arrived this morning to install the meter, along with a little unit that shows the effect of switching on a particular electrical appliance. Worst offender is the electric shower, followed by the kettle. And not just by a couple of hundred units..... more like a thousand!

As I was the first person to get one installed in Perth, had to get a picture taken with three of the guys that installed it, to appear in our monthly newspaper!!

Anyway, it's now in and it's being watched..... very closely.......
