A quiet moment

We had a truly lovely day celebrating Anna's christening. I found the service surprisingly moving. Although not a Christian myself, watching a whole community welcome a tiny baby and promise to look out for her did bring a few tears to my eyes. Even more moving was Rachel's speech, full of love for her family.
We felt very honoured to be included in the celebrations, and had a lot of fun catching up with the others that we really only see at Rowley gatherings! This was the first time Jacob was old enough to interact with all the other kids and he had a wonderful time. His highlights were eating crisps, pointing at babies, driving cars around, eating more crisps, dancing, eating chocolate stars, and this quiet moment with his dad reading a book about diggers!
