Calm Before The Storm
It was raining when we went in for coffee this morning, though this cleared by the time we left Nero. In fact the day was a pleasant autumn day, blue skies, reasonably warm for the time of year, and people sitting outside Costa. To show Winter is coming the decorations have gone up in town, including here in Bridge Street, though they won’t be lit until mid-November.
This afternoon we met Maureen and Ian for a drink at The Hatton Arms, this has obviously changed its emphasis from pub to restaurant, with waiters hustling us away from tables for eating at to a dark corner. We won’t be drinking there again, although mayhap we’ll still go there for a meal.
We are braced for the stormy weather, but it looks like most of the exciting stuff will happen overnight, let’s see what tomorrow brings.
