Chiltern Leaves

It was a beautiful morning so we decided to make the most of it before the much anticipated storms arrive, especially as we had the girls with us today. We are close to the Chilterns which are always beautiful this time of year so they were an obvious destination.

Once up in the woods, it was clear the wind had already impacted the leaf fall but it made for some beautiful areas of leaf carpet (and a fair few sticks and leaves in face!). After a wander, we grabbed a sandwich at the hilltop cafe commenting that there probably wouldn't be too many more outdoor lunch opportunities this year. The rain began to fall as we finished but we'd already grabbed the best bit of the day.
