Chums, Champagne & Chillin'

Backblipped 27.10.13

Up early as had a fair bit to too to prepare for my overnight with Ele at our friend Gail's in Edinburgh. First task was to ice and decorate the Empire biscuits I made when I got home last night.

Despite having lots of time, it went by in a flash and as usual I ended up running late and didn't arrive at Gail's till 4pm instead of 3pm. Ele was already there so we had coffee and an Empire biscuit before caving at 5pm and opening the champagne.

Enjoyed that very much before heading upstairs to get glammed up before Gail's sis in law (also called Diane) and Gail's neighbour Natalie arrived. More champagne then out for dinner to a very nice pub/eatery where we enjoyed a fab evening of chat, laughter, good food and gin. The bill arrived and they'd undercharged us massively so, being the honest ladies we are, we pointed this out paid up as quickly as possible and fell into the taxi back to Gail's for more champagne and more laughter.

Think I got to bed about 1am and fell asleep attempting to put my watch back an hour. Just a day early. Oops.


PS David also had an eventful day as him and Eddie were taking Alan and his pal Andrew to the East Fife v Rangers match! This was our birthday pressie to Andrew. It was his and Alan's first time at a football match. Rangers won 4-o and I think the main thing Alan got from the experience was an increase in his understanding of certain words and phrase! ;-) Oops, this should be in tomorrow's blip! Eejit that I am!!
