Never Forgotten

It's that time of year again, the first Poppy laying in the Garden Of Remembrance. I always attend, for the last ten years as Chairman of the RNA, usually I am invited by the Mayor to lay the first 'Service Poppy' following his.
Since 2008 I now lay six Poppy Crosses;
Great Uncle George Roberts, Killed In Action in July 1916 aged 22.
Little Grandad George Albert Fry, served on the Merchant Navy on Atlantic Convoys
Brother-in-Law Philip LeVesconte, Royal Corps Of Transport, served in Northern Ireland & Cyprus
Dad, Charles Ronald Stevens, served in the Royal Artillery during the end of WWII
Big Grandad, Alfred Stevens, served in the Royal Tank Regiment at Dunkirk, from El Alamein to Berlin including D Day.

Then it was Truro > PC World to collect Sam's repaired laptop > Currys to pick up my new headphones > Work, Plymouth run > Home, start the preps for the week-end.
Clare and Sam left for Reading, Joshua left for Army Cadet Camp - Me, I'm home alone.
