Glasshouse Mountains
These bizarre rock formations jutting out the plain are actually the eroded plugs of ancient volcanoes. When Captain Cook first sailed down this coastline he fancied the shape of some of them reminded him of Glass Houses back in England. In his log he called them just that.
Today they are part of the Glasshouse Mountains National Park along Queensland's sunshine coast. Lina and I are escaping Brisbane for a week to do some volunteering here and for some wonderful fresh air. Adventures await!
