The Mighty Cook

After all the ridiculous weather we have had today dawned not too bad, very chilly wind with the sun shining. The mountains looked pristine covered in new snow.

Before heading home we headed up Mt Cook Rd again and to the position of The Rest where we lived. Our home has of course been shifted when Lake Pukaki rose but we lived just below and to the right of the silver birch on the right. This is the view I had every day for 2 1/2 years. Amazing.

Good to be home, after a really awesome weekend rekindling old friendships, lots of laughter, lots of refreshments and food.....and a voice that isn't functioning as well as it could. This reunion as been a bonza!! We (a smaller group) hope to do this on a more regular basis, maybe in two years.

Tonight I'm editing the furniture images I took last Thursday and not going to bed until its done......we're away to Aussie in two days and much to be done.
