Michigan Daybreak
I pulled over to the side of the road to take in the sun in the east. It was a pure Michigan daybreak - flushed pale streaks of light and then a deeper run of color flaring on the still river water.
I will be late for work, but it was worth it to stand there for a moment and look at the tall trees and take in the scent of pine needles and sandy soil after rain. And, to grab this shot of a patch of river ablaze with brilliance.
