Anaphalis margaritacea
or Pearly Everlasting to you. My brother gave me a tiny plant years ago. Left to itself it seeds promiscuously, a bit like the Duke of Buccleugh and his bicycle. The purists would chop it before it sets seeds, but I like it's laid back splendour, flowering easily till the first frosts.
