We were lucky

The storm didn't come this far north. Of course we had rain, lots of it. And it was windy, but the havoc was not wreaked in this part of North Staffordshire. But it sounds as though so much of our country has had a very hard time.

There's lovely light now, but it is rather chilly.

There's no sign of the ladybirds. I hope they took a safe refuge.
Cyd has visited for her Dreamies. She hasn't been around so I think family one kept her in for her safety.

Our family get together this lunchtime happened as planned.

And I noticed this strange mushroom in the middle of my lawn !
