A bit of everything happening here - sunshine, hail, winds, rain, mostly simultaneously. Not as bad as across the water though. Son#1 and girlfriend Jo are hopefully on their way from Birmingham. Planes don't look too badly disrupted there but the trains are in havoc. Could be an interesting journey. Himself has gone to collect them via Cork city where he intended to do some shopping. We both forgot it was Bank holiday - we 've been here 11 years and this one still takes us by surprise!

Exciting news - son#2 has had a photo published in The Guardian ; proud mummy!
