Focus Stacking

Focus stacking is something I haven't tried before but I was inspired by Draco's Blip yesterday and thought I'd give it a try on a close-up shot. My ruler isn't a great subject and the lighting is rubbish but focus stacking seems to work well in Photoshop. This is the result of stacking 11 images.

BTW I bought the ruler in New Zealand - it's made of a sample of each of their indigenous hardwoods.
