Bustin' for a leak

I've never understood the gutter systems here in Cumbria. Why have narrow pipes leading into open vessels that gurgle and run over spilling their contents everywhere. In Scotland everything is enclosed and pipes are large enough to contain large volumes of water. It's not like a lot of rain has come as some kind of surprise in this part of the land. Anyway, that's my rant over. It's raining far too much here! It's supposed to be the South that's suffering for a change! Guess I'm onto a new rant now. Ok I'll shut up. I just hate all this rain.
