Porthcawl Stormy Seas

Well, thankfully, all those met office warnings of gale force winds hitting Wales overnight didn't happen! A lot of rain but no high winds. Today was a bit breezy at times and quite a lot of extremely heavy downpours mixed in with some brief sitings of the sun. When the rain eased off, we decided to head over to Porthcawl to see if the sea was up to much and we were not to be disappointed, as you can see from this photo. The waves were crashing against the sea wall and up over the lighthouse, it was amazing to watch, a real spectacle but rather scary too!! I was standing on the sea wall taking photos, and at one point the wind picked up and I just froze!!! I was terrified, hubby had to rush over and hold me tight to calm me down! I have never felt like that before, I don't know what came over me! In the end he managed to get me to sit down on the sea wall until the wind died down, and thankfully it did within 5 minutes. Phew!! Once the panic was over I carried on snapping away, along with the number of other photographers there capturing the spectacular scene.
Tomorrow, I am hoping to head over to the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff to watch and take photographs of the Wales rugby team, who are putting on a free to the public, training session, starting at 2pm. I hope I get a good seat to get some descent shots. I have had strict instructions from youngest daughter to get some good shots of Leigh Halfpenny...she is a bit of a fan!!
