Picturesque GOTV

Polling day in the Dunfermline by-election today and the weather was just perfect for a spot of GOTV (Get Out The Vote).

Culross was one of the places I visited today...one of many beautiful Fife coastal villages. Although I did have a slight trauma having to reverse my car up a rather steep hill because they had blocked the through road off to make some repairs...yeah wouldn't want to do that again in a hurry...there was a lingering smell of burning rubber for a long while after:-/

Finished my day at a polling station that had had a small electrical fire and they had moved the ballot boxes and tellers out to the playground. I did 45 minutes polling agent duty out in the cold until close of poll at 10 and saw the boxes sealed. The poor tellers had been out for 45 minutes longer than me...I was cold they were frozen.

Then it was home to Mr R...who had made me a wee pasta supper as I hadn't eaten.
