Bruges - day one

The alarm went off at 6am this morning, which is far too early for a Saturday. It was for a good reason though, as we were driving to Bruges and had to get to Folkestone in time for our Channel Tunnel crossing. Once the teenagers were out of bed we were off, had a totally in eventful journey and arrived in Bruges 5 hours later.

The weather was beautiful all day, so once we had checked into our hotel we set off to explore the area. We walked far a few hours, mastered to art of dodging cyclists and the tourist horse and carts and then finally returned to the hotel to change for dinner. As it was still warm we found a restaurant where we could eat outside :)
