White Feather

I had guest since yesterday. As they drove off to the midwest they handed me this white seagull's feather. t=The micmac Indian tribe told them that the Canadian government is trying to take their land which is on the Us/Canada border. they want to open it up to fracking.
Our community here is actively trying to prevent this environmentally damaging activity from taking place. the departing friends said to tie a red ribbon on it and hang it in a tree. Ut s symbolic of the great Spirit protecting the land and water.
So, here it is, ready to go outside and wave in the wind, I tried taking the outdoor photo but it is waving too much for a clear view. But it's out there.

Our election for town and country officers will be in another week when we try to vote in stronger anti-fracking leaders.
