Jam jam jam
The IXL jam company was a 19th century thriving Hobart business, making tonnes of jam for the nation and the world. There's a lovely set of three houses up one of the early streets of the city that Henry Jones built for his daughters, and these warehouses dominate Hunter St on the water's edge. They're now largely the university art school, with a few cafés and offices added in for good measure.
