Jurassic lounge has been an attempt to get some interest back in museums particularly for the 25-40 age bracket. So the museum opens up on a Tuesday night and has a number of shows, bands, silent disco, comedy acts, ping pong, face painting (adult style), drawing, chess, multimedia presentations, magical shows and even burlesque dancing...... I'm sure I've missed stuff and of course the museum piecess themselves, hence the name Jurassic to match the dinosaurs. Add some grog and food and it's a good night of entertainment and education. Sadly despite being a raging success this will be last year.

There's a new head curator starting at the museum soon I wonder what fresh ideas they will bring.
