Monarch of the Glen

This picture of Corrie, our 3 year old Border Collie and was taken whilst walking a section of the West Highland Way in Scotland, close to Glen Coe Mountain Resort early October this year. Corrie very much considers himself head of the family and when out doors he is 'lord of all he surveys'. Taking up position on the stone bridge gave him an elevated position as he took in the scenery.

The forecast had been for rain that afternoon but we decided to risk it and we were rewarded with a dry afternoon of autumn sunshine lighting up this fantastic picture. I really love the mottled shadow effects created across the wilderness of Rannoch Moor as the sun cuts through the scattered clouds.
