Coughton Court

I pass this National Trust property regularly and this view from the main A435 road is lovely. The trouble is that there is no time to stop and enjoy it.

Today it looked lovely in the golden afternoon light so I decided to stop and walk along the road to take a picture. I only had one shot as I discovered that the battery in my NEX-6 was flat. However it does look nice.

Coughton Court is the home of the Throckmorton family and was one of the houses where the Gunpowder Plot conspirators took refuge after Guy Fawkes' ill-fated attempt to blow up parliament in 1605.
