A blast from the past

I mentioned yesterday that Mum and Dad had brought the old photo albums down for Alf and Poppy's entertainment. This gem was in there.

I took this 25 years ago just after I bought my first SLR, a canon eos 650 if I remember, I printed this in a darkroom I built under my stairs. We were 20 years old (and yes I know I'm punching above my weight ;)) We've hardly changed over the years ;)

Taking pictures on film, processing and printing by hand was a great thing to do, digital/lightroom etc is all brilliant but there was something about dodging and burning and the smell of chemicals that was brilliant.

I've had a joyous day today, you can believe that if you want!
