New Kitchen

Drama!! On Wednesday at 18,00, Neil, (son Nr 2) phoned and asked were we free until the weekend. We said "Yes, why?" and he said he a had a Kitchen for us and had time so he would be down the following afternoon to take the old one out. Panic ! Cupboards emptied and boxed. ( You do accumilate stuff over the years He duly arrived and the old kitchen was out and stacked in the garden. he had a quick measure and said the "New One" ( It is 12 years old, but the Oven and Fridge are new ) should fit. After he had left I painted the ceiling and started on the wallpapering, a job I hate. Friday Morning we finished this and Neil arrived and laid the new flooring, "Click Laminate" looks rather good. Saturday he was here at 11 and got started, needed lots to be altered but he is amazing, ( It is his job, has been installing Kitchens for 20 years), if it didn't fit, it was made to fit! Washing Machine was newly plumbed in, Cooker and water too, nice new sink and Taps, real luxury! At 16.00 he was finished, I need to fit the trims etc, but L is now finding new homes for all our Pots and pans. That is a Carousel in the corner, pure magic, swallows large amounts of Kit.When you think that normally such a Kitchen which certainly cost over 20K new, ends up in The Tip, such a shame, the fridge is a Bosch and still under Guarantee! But thanks again! Well hectic but nearly finished, it looks so good, shames the rest of the house now!
