Blimp not Blip!
Another horrible day as far as the weather was concerned and no way I was going to get a decent outside picture.
So today I am saved by my friend Eddie. This is a photograph of a glossy leaflet he gave me at the Club last week. The scene is of the Marina and the Horseshoe Bridge both of which I have blipped recently. But its a different view.
Eddie runs Hawkeye Aerial Photography which as the name suggests specialises in aerial pictures taken either from his huge 30 metre telescopic mast or alternatively the Blimp (not Blip). The Blimp is a helium filled balloon to which the camera is attached and operated remotely. He doesn't use it much now as mostly the mast is sufficient and also a lot less costly. And it doesn?t take off on its own as the Blimp once did!
Some of the pictures achieved are outstanding many of them taken for the construction industry including high profile projects like the Clackmannanshire Bridge and the Falkirk Wheel. It certainly provides a unique service.
