Cut from tree

Always sad when a tree comes down so my wife kept the initial chain saw cut they did in the main trunk before it came down. My plan is to rub the main surface smooth and then laquer it.

First problem is that the chain saw still left grooves which are probably 3-4mm deep and just sanding it will take forever. I need more electrical power tools - like an electric planer.

I will just have to buy one to make the wife happy. Such is life having to buy power tools.
