Out on the Amesbury Watermeadows...
So successful and popular was my Muddy Riverbank blip of yesterday, taken with my Nisi 10 stop ND filter, I repeated the exercise, whilst the sun was with us.
Forecast is dull from now on and so it was tripod stretched out on the bank of the River Avon, again, this time north of the South Mill, out on the watermeadows. This has public access, with some basic rules, such as keeping dogs on leads. There are a number of signs politely asking so. Why, well, like all good, working watermeadows, there was a flock of sheep there. So, here comes a bloke with 2 pesky little fluffy things off their leads. Thinks man (no doubt) that his family pets wouldn't hurt a fly, let alone maul a sheep. But the actual expression is 'sheep worrying', not killing and maiming and so this gentleman got a good ticking off from the farmer, out in his pick up truck. Having been brought up on a farm, these little things annoy me and possibly as his actions taints all of us who enjoy access over private farmland. Anyway, that's enough on that one...
So, it's 30 seconds again, both polariser and ND10 and some mono converting to make it look a bit like IR. On LARGEyou can see Amesbury's ancient St Mary's Church. Over the ridge and to the left is Stonehenge. Such lovely ancient landscapes, so photogenic, that is why I not only appreciate access but also feel rather protective toward them from fools who don't think.
Lens is Nikkor 10-24mm.
My Blip this time last year (see thumbnail below) is one that I'm rather proud of, if you have a moment??
