RSNO at Kelvingrove, Glasgow

A real treat this evening. The RSNO (Royal Scottish National Orchestra) played in Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. The Saint Saens Symphony No3 - The Organ Concerto, the second half of the programme. The sound of this magnificent organ (built in 1902) and a full orchestra was a delight. There were cameras on both the manual and pedal consoles of the organ, with large screens, to watch all the action.

The building was open over an hour before the concert, to allow the audience to enjoy the collections before settling down to an excellent programme in such splendid surroundings.

I took this shot from the balcony just as the orchestra members began to take their places.
