Driving safely?

Are you allowed to drive a wheelchair up the middle of the road? Blipped through the windscreen again... so probably me not driving safely.

Ramble/kind of rant alert coming up...
Not quite such a jovial day at work today. I had an early morning appointment but had a mental block and turned up the wrong address, then when I did get to the right place I tried to let myself in to the wrong building... not a good start. The people on the other side of the door were rather alarmed as you can imagine... I just about managed to assure them that I was not trying to break in to their house - oopsie.

When I did get to the office I had a call from a very posh, wobbly voiced lady, with a rather unfortunate surname (just one letter off being a very crude term of abuse) who instantly started bellowing at me about a fence that had fallen down and squashed her flower bed. Trying to get a word in and explain that I would get somone out there asap, but that all our contractors were having to prioritise and deal with more pressing wind damage problems i.e half a roof blowing off etc didn't seem to placate her.
In the end William and I sped over and with the help of an old window blind, a thin rope and a heavy paving stone we managed to ease the fence panels off her precious flowers one green shrub . It didn't help that she would not let us step foot on her side. No pleasing some people!

The good thing is that I finished at 3pm today and I'm not back in until Friday.
Pete is pleased as punch today as his new sound bar has arrived for the TV. It's very effective, like being in the cinema!
