Dragonfly

We used our recently purchased annual membership to Westonbirt Arboretum to visit Batsford Arboretum which is a little closer.

Unfortunately it had clouded over by the time we got there and al;though it was nice, the colours werent quite as spectacular as we had hoped.

We saw a couple of dragonflys. One was very active and impossible to capture. This one, however, was sitting there waiting to have his picture taken.

I suspect he was near the end of his life and if he stays there much longer he will make a tasty meal for a passing bird
