Not a pochard

This is a Wigeon Duck.

Today I went down to stay with Sister Flowerpower and, in honour of her love of birds, we spent the afternoon exploring her usual birding haunts. Then, in recognition of my love for cake, we went out for tea and enjoyed some delicious chocolate cake. It's been a lovely day and it's great to be spending some time with my sister.

(Throughout the afternoon I kept wanting to call this duck a pochard and really couldn't get it into my head that this is, in fact, a Wigeon duck.)
