Wicked
A 'girls' day today with the grandma, the girls and me! Manchester we went for some shopping which consisted of all of two shops to get what the girls knew they 'needed' a quick lunch stop at Moose Cafe for Canadian/American style pancakes and then to see Wicked! This was the birthday treat for Mia, soon to be a teenager and she loved it, especially as textile design is an area she is favouring and costumes for theatre an option. Personally I find musicals are just filled up with a bit too much, well singing but I stuck at it and it was pretty good. In fairness I've avoided them for so long that I'm comparing it to the only other one I've seen, Phantom of the Opera, 17 years ago which I managed to sleep through! Anyway the girls loved it and so I'm happy. Not so happy with the train travel though, apart from the hour long delay we suffered through this morning, how they managed to not predict they might need more carriages on during half term beats me, we were crammed in to the proverbial rafters! Thy kept apologising that it was crowded because of half term, like it snuck up on them unawares. Seriously?! Might send them a link to school term dates for their future planning! It was plain 'Wicked'!!!
