Cloth and memories(2)

Finally went to the cloth and memories exhibition at Salts Mill as it closes this weekend. I am not sure what I enjoyed the most between the room itself or the various different art installations. Some left me cold, others were just stunning both in concept and in skill and workmanship.

There was some hand spun yarn made out of fleece found in the walls, just brilliant. It felt like living history!

The blip is a tiny part of one of the exhibits, and is bits of detritus found in the room, flaking paint, washers, and some yarn. Somehow linked the room to the art works.

If any of you local blippers haven't been yet make an effort, it is worth it for access to the room alone, the top floor is usually closed to the public.
