First Attempt

I was told by the Cygnet I had to carve a pumpkin for him (he already had one done by his Dad so no idea why I had to do one).

I have never done one before - I have always used turnip.
Scooping out a pumpkin is much - much easier I have to say (but much more wasteful as there is nobody in my family actually likes pumpkin).

So this is my first attempt at the American way of doing things ....... scooping it out and carving into the skin leaving a thin bit of membrane for the light to shine through.
Just a shame I am rubbish at art.
Next year I will use a template.
